Orla O’Loughlin has been made Artistic Director of Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh so there’s now a vacancy for her old job as Artistic Director of Pentabus Theatre. My memory is that Theresa Heskins had the job before becoming A.D. at the New Victoria Theatre Newcastle-Under-Lyme so as well as being a top gig it’s a top gig with prospects.

Top gig with prospects – it sounds like it could be a Pilot Night. On 9th November at The Public West Bromwich an array of entertaining short pieces of theatre will be shared and an audience invited to mull over them and tip those which will go on to become great fully fledged shows.

Fully fledged are The Furies AKA Kindle Theatre in their Post-Punk band format. With Stan co-founder and Man of Steel Graeme Rose located near the helm they are at MAC on Saturday as part of the Supersonic Festival.
