Stan's Cafe: Creative Partners
Stan's Cafe work in a variety of educational contexts from running short film making courses to making large scale theatre productions with university students. The company run workshops to accompany shows and James lectures at a variety of institutions and conferences. We create bespoke training days and workshops for students, teachers and other arts professionals.
At the beginning of 2005 we were commissioned by Creative Partnerships to work as lead partner with five schools in the Frankley area of Birmingham to create and co-ordinate an extensive program of artistic activity over the next three years.

Stan's Cafe has years of experience working as a team, risk taking, problem solving, thinking creatively, managing projects and communicating with the public. It turns out these are skills prized by people who have to look smart when they turn up for work.
We had been having fun working with young people for years before it was suggested we might like to take our experience in Education and apply it to Training. Looking on the opportunities that have followed as fresh creative challenges we have created a series of unusual performance events in which we are stage managers and participants are the stars.
