Having presented the whole world show in Stuttgart earlier in the year it was back to Germany - the first time we had done a country sized version of the show other than the U.K. It was great to have that focus and to find German equivalents for statistics that we often employ in the U.K. version.
A site visit from Stuttgart had confirmed that the Alte Feuer Wache was an excellent space, opening out from the street. This proved to be one the show's most theatrical settings; with the table brightly lit, the globe glowing on the stage and the rice spread out around the large space of the hall.
Highlight was the last night, an election special which provided the show's first round of applause as a grains of rice were added to political party piles to announce victories for successful candidates.
