Women 50 and over having abortions in the UK during 2005: 23

There are a few subjects that we approach with great caution in the show, abortion is one of them. This statistic speaks of female fertility and generates powerful narrative readings that are lost within the larger figure of 186,416 women having abortions in the UK that year and even that of 7,459 for women aged 40 - 44.

Women 45 and over giving birth in the UK 2005: 1177

I have chosen this statistic because in 1995 the figure was 586. This rise provokes me to think about changes in our social structure.

Billionaires In The World: 946

A classic statistic updated. Apparently and additional 153 people became billionaires last year. We are often asked and the answer is "they are US Dollar Billionaires".
