With lots of good relationships established in our first year of collaboration and trust having built up we were ready to push on with confidence into the second year. Having discussed priorities with Headteacher Jo Clifton it was decided to give the year a literacy theme, particularly focusing on speaking confidently and clearly.

Weather
Year 3 were due to study Weather as a topic, so we worked with them on a project combining science, with poetry and performance. This project has a webpage all of its own.

Space
Year 5's exploration of space took in lots of maths, including calculating answers to the questions "how long would it take to run to the moon?" and "how high could you jump on Jupiter?". This project has its own webpage.

Tudor Week
After the previous year's successful Tudor Week we tacked the topic again, on this occasion students had to compose persuasive letters to raise money for their voyages of exploration. This project has its own webpage.

The Silver Shell
This was a short project with Year Two in 2014 in which we helped with their summer term seaside topic. Charlotte Goodwin worked with the children over five Friday afternoons to devise and create a seaside themed story and audio piece called 'The Silver Shell'. The work culminated in a performance in the school hall in which the children created a series of images and tableaux to accompany their soundscape.
A recording of the sound piece the children created can be listened to here on the Billesley Blog.

F1 Faceoff
We have run a number of Scalextric races in schools, they are full of maths and literacy, especially if you add commentators to the event. We spread the tun to Billesley and this project has its own webpage.

Radio Billesley
Every project this year included writing, reading or speaking. These projects all came together during a week in the summer term when we launched Radio Billesley. This project has its own webpage.

Any Fool Can Start A War
At the time this was our most ambitious creative learning project. A full public theatre production about the Cuban Missile Crisis devised and performed by Year 6. There is a webpage for this project.
