An art gallery on the top floor of a book shop is conceptually a great space for this show, somehow it prompts thought of some unwritten short story by Bourges, but in fact this proved to be a difficult and disappointing show. The Festival marketing wasn't up to luring people in to this out of the way space. We hadn't had the time to develop a rapport with the Waterstone's staff that would have led to a collaboration with the shop acting as a resource and extension of the show.
This was a disappointment as we have done a lot of work in Nottingham and always enjoyed it.
Highlight of this gig was access to shelves and shelves of reference books and Jake finding the breakdown of the vast array of nationalities of the crew of H.M.S. Victory.
