This is the Stan's Cafe Shop, where you can buy all manner of Stan products. Proceeds go towards producing further recordings that no one is visionary or crazy enough to commission.
Payment
We have set up a shopping cart using PayPal, the well known Internet credit / debit card payment system. It works well.
If you already have a PayPal account, then you can use it to buy things from us. If you haven't got an account, then you can still use the system to make a one-off purchase, and you have the option of setting up an account at the end, which you can use in the future. If you have any queries about the PayPal system itself then don't ask us, visit the PayPal website for more details.
If you'd rather not use PayPal, then you can send your order, along with a cheque for the total in sterling (payable to Stan's Cafe) to:
Stan's Cafe,
PO BOX 16044,
Birmingham.

What Happens
When you click on one of the buttons below it sends a message to the PayPal system to add that product to the shopping cart. The first time you click will also create another window with the shopping cart details.
(At the moment this also has a technical message about secure / nonsecure items. It doesn't seem to make much difference to the appearance of the window if you click yes or no to display the items.)
When you've finished adding things to the shopping cart you can click to go to the checkout, where PayPal will take the payment.
We aim to get items in the post within a week of receiving your payment. Standard stock items should be dispatched sooner than this.
We will not post tickets - we will send you a confirmation email - please bring this with you on the night.
If you have any comments or queries about our shop, then please send them to us via the contact page.
The are currently no tickets being sold for Stan's Cafe shows directly from this website.
The Anatomy of Melancholy: Script Robert Burton's extraordinary 17th Century masterpiece, described by
some as - the greatest book ever written - is 1,500 pages long and a very serious reading commitment. This script is a very effective digest, edited for the stage by Stan's Cafe.
Of All The People In All The World A catalogue of the world version presented in Stuttgart.
52 pages in colour. Photography by Ed Dimsdale, Poetry by Alan Hay.
Videos document many Stan's Cafe productions, including most major touring shows. The quality varies according to the techonology and skill we had available at the time of recording. Most of the shows are on VHS, though we have now started using DVD, and this is clearly indicated in each case. They cost £18 each including postage.
NB Its Your Film, The Black Maze and Of All The People In All The
World do not lend themselves to video documentation.
Videos exist of The Carrier Frequency and most shows made with
students; these are unavailable as they contain material for which we
do not have copyright release. Viewing of these is possible, by prior
arrangement, at Stan's HQ in Birmingham.
Texts are available for all touring shows, even the wordless Simple Maths and The Cardinals. Prices vary roughly according to their word count (which seems fair).
