Street Theatre
We don't really do street performance but we have. Bromsgrove District Council commissioned two pieces from us.
Morality Shopping 1994
Made just before Christmas. Chris Corcran, sealed in a box, was dumped, wearing his underpants, holding a five pound note on Bromsgrove high street. A devil spiv trys to sell dodgy gear, an angel communes with the street lighting. Chris breaks out of his box and trys to buy the essentials for life. Helped by the good people of Bromsgrove.
Dead Body 1995
A dead body has been found on the streets of Bromsgrove. Local citizens are rightly concerned but with a team of top detectives on the scene the mystery should soon be cleared up and the culprit arrested.
All passers-by are requested to help the detectives with their enquiries. Their methods may seem odd, but we are assured that they are state of the art and extremely effective.
Another highly unusual piece of street theatre made especially for Bromsgrove by Stan's Cafe.
Voodoo Acts 1995
The smoke cannisters not used in Morality Shopping were let off in phone boxes around Birmingham as a series of acts of urban magic.
