Pg.1 "I thought theatre was the Royal Shakespeare Company. Having seen The Merchant of Venice and Taming of the Shrew at Stratford-upon-Avon in the early 1980s it only took James three decades to recover and return to the venue with Stan's Cafe. In 2012 the company were invited to present Of All The People In All The World in one of the gallery rooms at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre (RST). In the same year James was invited to give a talk in the venue about he link between Shakespeare and contemporary theatre.

In 2016 Stan's Cafe were invited back by the Royal Shakespeare Company to install Shakespeare Steps on the streets of the town.

Also in 2016 Stan's Cafe was asked by Saltley Academy to help them stage a production of The Tempest this was performed on the terrace outside the RST.
